Joyful years to remember and to learn from

Hi, I'm back!
It's 2020 now. 2 years from my last update.
So many things have happened and changed over the past 2 years.
Reading back at my old posts, I truly feel that I've aged haha!

About my job

I've spent about a year plus in a design agency; as a graphic designer.
It's my first full-time job ever as a designer. I was happy, excited and everything seems fresh and interesting to me. I have learned so much from it, I've had the chance to gain some first-hand experience which has helped me grown so much in just a year.

I've met really good seniors that have helped, guided and supported me in many ways which I'm truly thankful for. The colleagues are really awesome people too; the older ones or even the younger ones (interns) in the company. I've also made some mistakes and learned from my mistakes (and remembered really clearly) that has helped me in my further projects.

I felt God's hands in this career path that I've had. Truly thankful. ◕◡◕

The first big decision that I've made

After a year of working as a full-time staff, I've decided to tender my resignation and further explore my new path as a freelance graphic designer. I've thought through long enough and decided to try on new stuff. Also, I took a break after my resignation. I went on a Taiwan trip with my brother. I felt the happiest and most relaxed during the trip. It was like a getaway trip from me, to recharge and to reflect on my further steps.

I planned the trip, explored the nature side & artistic side of Taiwan. Honestly, it was the best kind of itinerary that I've ever wanted. It was chill and just pure sweetness. Just by looking at those beautiful sceneries, animals and even what seem like a daily normal building sight for the locals; I find beauty in them too. I would definitely visit Taiwan again! But the best trip was still the times when I went with my poly clique as a 'grad trip'. :-)

Chinese New Year: Malaysia Trip with my family

I went back to Msia with my family and spent the most chill Chinese New Year there with my family and relatives. I've gotten the chance to rejuvenate, chill in the most zen scenery, paint the scene, ride ATV (the most thrilling and fun experience of the trip that I've always wanted to try). Although initially, my dad was against me riding it. But I've managed to convince them because I really wanted to experience it. hehe! :-)

Christmas Impromptu Trip: JB Trip with my clique

It was an impromptu trip with my clique that I've known for 10 years. This was the first time going overseas together, apart from the school trip. woohoo! :-) It was fun, exciting 'Escape Room' activity which I've never thought I would participate. A lot of karaoke singing session (they loveee to sing) and mostly spending time together. :-) And oh! I would like to say that I had the most fun 'Bumper Car' activity there with them (We went to the place where we had our school trip together), because of our huge clique; we manage to have the entire space to ourselves! We've also celebrated our Christmas there and did some gift-exchange.

And this was during Chinese New Year

Other updates:

I've also spent some quality time celebrating my church friend's birthday. Catching up with close friends from secondary school and poly. I've also got a chance to set up a Christmas booth in my church; so thankful what has happened over the past 2 years. So blessed.

Faith and Courage to try

I've also done the things that I've been wanting to do, which are Muay Thai and my pins! I've been wanting to start my mini art merchandise so I took the courage to do a bubble tea pin! The idea behind was simply to share the joy of loving bubble teas(bbt) and when regular size bbt are just not enough! hehe :-) Still working on it, it's my first time so yeah... :-)  Hey readers, if you're keen to find out more about my pin project it's here - oheartee
(there's still stocks available for order! pm for orders)

(Here's a sneak peek video of the Muay Thai training venue that I've been to! hehe :)

Circuit Breaker Season (2020):

Unfortunately, life happens. Currently, Singapore is on a circuit-breaker situation. I've recently spent my birthday at home but still filled with lots of love from my friends around and thankful for those delivery heroes for delivering all the food and the flower that my friends have ordered for me. :-) I've been working on some freelance projects which I truly felt that it's really meaningful. Projects that help people (direct/indirectly) through design is something that held close to my heart.  ◕◡◕

This is the longest update I've ever had!

Thank you for reading my post till the end. Have a great day ahead! :-)

Sincerely
YJ
