Singapore National Gallery Trip

Bullet-points of my day:
-Went to Singapore National Gallery to view art works for my CDS assignment & ended up dwelling more into the exciting stuff to see than to actually focusing on my assignment.
-Went on a free tour around the museum, "Artist and Empire".
- Saw many beautifully painted paintings.
- Some are surreal, some are abstract, expressive and some are extremely realistic paintings.
- I am personally more drawn towards abstract and expressionism as it allows me a room for interpretation and imagination of what the message is the painting trying to convey.
- Really love the pottery section where they exhibits all the handcrafted pots and bowls with really nice composition of colours.
- The lighting that shines onto those pots really makes it stands out even better.
- I wish there were more art installations and  abstract paintings for me to interpret.
- Overall it was a really exciting experience because I have never been on a tour where there would be a guide to bring us around and curate some of the paintings (P/s I am the youngest and the only teenager in the group heehee, it's just so nice to experience the moment where groups of different people come together with a common interest).
